Note: Although the above file fixes problems with how AI-helicopters use their dipping sonar, it can also interfere with the player's control of his helo when playing as a FFG-7. What it is - SCX II is a community-created mod for Sub Command. It adds new subs, ships, aircraft, weapons and sensors, as well as 'tweaking' the originals for added realism. SCU (Sub Changer Utility) is an add-on to SCX II that allows the player to control other sub classes in addition to the 'stock' Los Angeles, Seawolf and Akula subs.

SCX IIc is an update/upgrade to SCX II. It provides SCU with full functionality, in that you will now be using the correct Sonars, Sensors, and Weapons for all the SCU playable Subs. It also corrects all of the 'known' issues, glitches, twitches & buggies, that could be found in SCX II. Lots of tweaks, adjustments, & other additional bits and pieces. There are also a couple of dozen or so new models, .. for y'all to feast your eyes on.

SCU is packaged with SCX IIc. The SCU executables are placed in your Sub Command folder when SCX IIc is installed. Please read the SCU_Instructions in the SCU_Docs folder, which can be found in your Sub Command folder.

VERY IMPORTANT: -- You must have SCX II installed, .. BEFORE installing SCX IIc.

PLEASE REMEMBER: -- to run the 'Install_Graphics.bat' file in your Sub Command/Graphics folder, .... failing which, YOU WILL, probably, experience a crash at some point.

ALSO: -- If you were previously playing with a SCU playable Sub, ... please 're-select' your Sub, using the Sub Changer Utility ... before playing Sub Command.
